Full Bio:

Red Moon Rounder is an original band from Colorado Springs, CO. Drawing from a blend of folk, indie, and americana influences, their music is characterized by its catchy but haunting melodies, soaring harmonies, and driving rhythms layered on top of deep introspective lyrics. They have a sound that is both familiar and unique and appeals to a wide range of listeners. The band has played throughout Colorado from the corners of small Irish pubs to large music festival stages.

Red Moon Rounder debuted in 2018 with the release their self-titled EP and began making their way into the local music scene with a raw, energetic sound rooted in folk. RMR played notable shows that year, including opening for national acts such as Shane Smith & The Saints and Great American Taxi as well as an appearance at the FIBArk Whitewater festival in Salida.

RMR stayed busy in 2019 as they expanded their footprint throughout Colorado. They made their debut on the pallet stage at Black Shirt Brewing in downtown Denver and were regulars at the legendary Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen. The band also broke into the performing arts center scene with an appearance at the Gunnison Arts Center. Heading into 2020, RMR had a lot of momentum with a busy slate of shows lined up throughout Colorado. Unfortunately, COVID put a damper on things as with many live music acts.

RMR persevered through COVID and in 2022 began working on new material and a more polished sound that favored more harmonies, introspective lyrics, and an intimacy in comparison to their earlier work. RMR stepped back onto the stage with performances at events hosted by the Cheyenne Mtn Zoo, the Mountain of the Sun Music Festival, and the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival. RMR continued recording their new material in their home studio throughout 2022 and early 2023.

Following an apperance at the 2023 Meadowgrass Music Festival, RMR released their debut full length album, Ashes or Dust, to a packed house at local indie music venue, Vultures in Colorado Springs on June 8, 2023. RMR has maintained a busy schedule throughout Colorado in support of the album including opening for national touring acts such as Grady Spencer and the Work, Damn Tall Building and Joelton Mayfield. RMR continues to perform at large music events including Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Moonlight on the Mountain, Colorado Springs Porchfest and a second appearance at the Mountain of the Sun Music Festival.
